SUNDAY SCHOOL

  • Christian Wesleyan Class: Room 201

Our class comes from a variety of age groups and backgrounds. Our objective is to be relevant to the Christian formation of participants. The class studies a variety of curriculum from DVD’s to Books and Bible studies. Presently it is being led by Rev. Dennis Levin on the wisdom books of the Bible.

  • Frank Mock Class: Room B02

A solid, faithful, and caring senior adult class which meets on Sunday mornings and also for fellowship several times a year. We begin class with singing each Sunday followed by a lesson from the International Adult Bible Studies by one of our knowledgeable teachers. Our class feeds the homeless shelter and helps those with urgent needs around the church. As with all our classes, we welcome new members and visitors.

  • Mrs. Speed’s Class: Room B01

This group of caring, loving ladies undoubtedly meets in the most comfortable room in the church with sofas and chairs. They meet from time to time for a fellowship lunch and enjoy supporting a variety of missions of Queen Street Church. The class enjoys discussing the Adult Bible Series and being taught by several of its members. The class welcomes visitors and new members.

SAM – SENIOR ADULT MINISTRY

The SAM group has one requirement: your age must violate one of Kinston’s speed limits!  This group of mostly retired adults meets the fourth Monday of each month at 11:30 AM at Queen Street Deli for lunch and fellowship. The group enjoys monthly day excursions to various locations including museums and theatre, as well as an occasional overnight trip.

UNITED METHODIST WOMEN

Three circles make up the United Methodist Women whose purpose is “to know God…to develop a creative supportive fellowship, and to expand concepts of mission. There are two day circles and one evening circle, all meeting the first Monday of each month September through May. A luncheon is held on the first Monday of the month with informative speakers and twice a year the women meet for an evening meal.
