Music

Music is an integral part of our worship together. We’d love to have you join us in one of our groups. Read below to find out a bit more about us, or click on the links to listen to some clips from our worship.

The Chancel Choir

Choir Small
Queen Street Chancel Choir

The Chancel Choir is composed of 25-30 members ranging in age from upper-level teens to senior citizens. The choir leads the music at the 11:00 service as well as other special seasonal services. The choir enjoys new choral music as well as the classics. Major choral events are produced each year in December with full orchestra. Our community continually looks forward to these special events. In addition to the work that is involved in being part of this group, the chancel choir also enjoys fellowship opportunities through meals and retreats throughout the year. Participation in the chancel choir is voluntary, and no audition is required.

The Queen Street Ensemble

The Queen Street Ensemble is a select group of singers from the Chancel Choir that wears many hats. As a performance group, this group primarily sings a cappella repertoire and provides special music for the 11:00 worship service along with seasonal services and community events. Members of this group also solo repertoire for special music during the services.

In addition to our pipe organ, piano, and handbells, Queen Street also owns a set of timpani and chimes which are used occasionally in the worship services. We have many talented musicians in our congregation and community and frequently hear the sounds of trumpet, marimba, violin, guitar, piano, and flute from volunteers from our congregation and community.
